Muhammed’s foray into software development was not a predetermined path but rather an, “unintended field of study”, he came into during his university years. Despite starting as a novice, he quickly found his footing and began developing games, tapping into his innate creativity and problem-solving skills. His talent was recognized with a scholarship, propelling him further into the realm of technology.
Venturing into Entrepreneurship
After university, Muhammed embarked on the entrepreneurial path, founding his own startup ventures. The allure of creating something from scratch and the excitement of startup life fuelled his endeavours, although he soon realized the immense energy and commitment required. Balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with personal priorities led him to explore contracting opportunities and trying the corporate path for a time, offering both professional challenges and flexibility. This work brought him to the US and allowed for exciting years of travel as a digital nomad.
Navigating Startup Success and Acquisition
One of Muhammed’s notable ventures was creating an electronic signing startup for the Pakistani market. The startup’s success culminated in its acquisition, providing Muhammed with invaluable experience and stability for his future. He stayed on as Chief Technology Officer showcasing his leadership and strategic vision, and contributing to the company’s growth for nearly 2 years before his eventual exit.
Seeking a better work-life balance, Muhammed transitioned to contracting work, eventually finding his joined the Mission network where his expertise in cybersecurity landed him on his first mission. Drawn to the work-life balance and dynamic opportunities for working impactful projects, he joined Mission in 2022. A self-proclaimed product oriented engineer, Muhammed likes to think of the client first and takes a startup energy approach to projects. He’s deeply fond of the relationships forged and success of the team during his first mission, and is now on his second project with us.
Education and Specialization: Nurturing Expertise in Cybersecurity
In tandem with his professional endeavours, Muhammed pursued further education, currently completing his master’s degree in cybersecurity with Staffordshire University, UK. It is a hybrid masters program that has allowed him to split his time between the UK and Pakistan and is now in the final stages of his thesis. Muhammed’s expertise spans both academic research and practical application, positioning him as a trusted authority in the field and underscores his commitment to excellence and continuous learning.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Muhammed finds joy in fostering meaningful connections and embracing adventure.
