What type of roles can I fill through through Mission.dev?
Mission.dev gives you access to any kind of talent you need to build and scale software, from individual contributors to full feature teams. We provide senior software engineers, tech leads, team leads, product designers, data engineers, AI/ML specialists, DevOps, ERP consultants, and more. Whether you're building a new product, scaling an existing one, or need specialized expertise, we’ve got you covered.
What makes Mission.dev different from traditional talent marketplaces?
Mission.dev is more than a talent marketplace. While traditional platforms stop at sourcing, we provide end-to-end support; from vetting and team assembly to ongoing performance tracking through Mission Signal. We actively manage your team so you can focus on your product.
How does Mission.dev source and match talent?
We use Mission Match, our own powerful tool that combines AI-powered screening with expert human evaluation. You provide your requirements; skills, stack, budget, timeline, and we deliver a fully vetted shortlist of only the best candidates, usually within 72 hours.
What information do you need to get started?
We’ll need:
- Required and nice-to-have skills
- Location/time zone preferences
- Type of engagement (full-time, part-time, etc.)
- Budget or max hourly rate
- A short description of your team and the project
You can also book a call with one of our Technical Advisors to walk through your needs. How big is the Mission.dev Network?
Mission.dev has a global network of over 30k+ vetted engineers and product builders with 500+ technical specialties.
We assess your project needs, tech stack, and team structure, then assemble a team based on fit, seniority, autonomy, and specialization. You can choose between fully managed teams or individual contributors.
What working hours do Mission.dev engineers follow?
They generally follow an 8-hour work day, with your preference of timezone overlap. You determine the expected active working days per month at the start of the engagement; whether you need full-time, part-time, or on-demand. This can always be adjusted monthly to suit your evolving needs.
Every Mission.dev member goes through a multi-step vetting process:
- Role-specific technical assessments and coding challenges
- Video interviews available to you and reviewed by our expert engineering talent team
- ID verification and background checks included
- Assessments of communication skills and team fit
- Only the top performers are accepted. Our acceptance rate is under 10%.
How do you measure performance?
We built Mission Signal, into our platform, to monitor and support every team. You’ll get visibility into:
- Code quality and commit velocity
- 360° peer feedback and team reviews
- Pulse surveys to track morale and team health
This helps ensure consistency, accountability, and high performance from day one. How fast can I get started?
We typically place candidates or full teams within 7 to 14 days, depending on your stack and requirements. Full agile squads; Product Manager, Tech Lead, and 2+ engineers, can often be assembled in 2 weeks or less.
Do Mission.dev teams work in the same location?
Mission.dev is a remote-first network. Our members are located in over 50 countries and we compliance and payroll set up for more than 150. If co-location is important, we can accommodate it, but we prioritize fit and quality above geography.
How are rates determined?
Rates vary based on the member’s location, role, and seniority. We’ll work within your budget and provide rate options as part of each candidate profile. There are no hidden or activation fees; rates are all-inclusive.
You’ll receive a single invoice each month based on the hours logged by your assigned team members. Payment is due within thirty days of invoice receipt.
How do Mission.dev teams communicate and integrate?
Your team uses your tools:
- Code repo, CI/CD, and PM tools
- Slack, email, or any preferred messaging apps
- Video conferencing of your choice
- We fully embed into your existing workflow.
