Background
As Eli prepared to move from MVP to public launch, they needed to upgrade their mobile app to support key functionality, improve the user experience, and reduce reliance on external hardware.
The challenge
The original prototype depended on a custom external reader device to process saliva samples. This added cost and complexity to manufacturing and fulfillment. In parallel, Eli needed to elevate the product experience to meet user expectations, all while adhering to quality and regulatory standards for health tech.
The solution
A Mission.dev team of mobile engineers and product specialists helped transition the system to use phone camera input in place of external hardware. They also implemented new v2 features based on Eli’s updated designs and roadmap, ensuring the app remained scalable, user-friendly, and ready for the next stage of testing and launch. The Eli Health app was released in the Apple store early 2025, with continuous monitoring and updates being made by the Mission.dev team.
