Background
The client set out to simplify how users manage and return to online shopping sessions. Their product aimed to aggregate shopping activity from multiple sites and make it easier for users to save products, share curated lists, and track price changes over time.
The challenge
To power these features, the platform needed a backend system capable of processing user browsing data, monitoring inventory and pricing from various sources, and triggering personalized alerts, while remaining lightweight and privacy-conscious.
The solution
Mission.dev assembled a backend-focused team that worked directly with the client’s CTO to design and build the core application. Using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, the team developed the backend architecture and data model to support real-time tracking of product prices and availability. The system was designed to enable scalable alert delivery and integration with browser-based frontends.
