Meet Hardik Avaiya – Mission Backend Developer

From his early teens on, Hardik Avaiya loved learning about development in a hands-on way. By his late teens, earlier than most (though not uncommon for Mission members), he already had a clear sense that engineering was the right path. He got his Bachelors in Computer Applications and later completed an M.S. in Information Technology. Freelancing for years, Hardik valued the opportunity it provided to meet different kinds of people from around the world, as well as enabling a unique professional freedom. He says that while “freelancing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea”, the path has been genuinely rewarding for him. The flexibility allows him to balance work and time with his family (he’s married with two children), as well as keep up with his hobbies playing volleyball and cricket. On top of that, having won state and national level hackathons back in 2012-2015, he also also participated as a judge to review work of others in state level hackathons.
